Privacy Policy
Quietware is a small studio in Toronto that makes tools like Homeground and NagMail. This policy explains what we collect and why. The short version: we keep as little as possible, we never sell it, and there are no ad trackers.
What this covers
This policy applies to the Quietware website and to Quietware sign-in — the shared account you use across our apps (starting with Homeground). Some products need extra permissions and have their own policy on top of this one. For example, NagMail reads deadline-related email through Google, which is governed by NagMail's own privacy policy. When a product's policy is more specific, that one applies to that product.
What we collect
- Just browsing quietware.bond: nothing that identifies you. No account needed to look around.
- Quietware sign-in: when you create or use a Quietware account for one of our apps, we store your email address, your name if the sign-in provider shares it, and which provider you used (e.g. Google). That's what lets you log back in.
- Product data: whatever a given app needs to work — for Homeground, that's things like the city and topics for your newsletter. That data is used to run that product and nothing else.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data. Ever.
- We don't run ad networks or third-party advertising trackers.
- We don't use your data to build profiles for anyone else.
Service providers we use
We rely on a few trusted providers to run the apps — they process data on our behalf, they don't buy it:
- Supabase — accounts, sign-in, and database.
- Email providers (e.g. Resend / Brevo) — to send the emails you asked for.
- PayPal — only if you buy a paid tier; we never see or store card numbers.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can view, export, or delete your account and its data from within each app's settings, or by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your data from that product.
Keeping data
We keep your data while your account is active and delete it when you delete your account or ask us to, except where we're required to keep something for legal or security reasons.
Children
Our apps aren't intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we make a meaningful change, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use Quietware means you accept the current version.
